El-Haaj Fernanders

El-Haaj Fernanders serves as an Upper School Student Wellness Assistant and brings more than a decade of experience in education, youth development, and restorative practices. His leadership style is shaped by his service in the U.S. Air Force and years supporting students in academic progress, physical education, wellness, restorative justice, and out-of-school-time programs.

 

El-Haaj is skilled at building trust, supporting students through academic and social-emotional challenges, and working with youth who benefit from additional structure or individualized support, including those with special needs. In addition to his school-based work, El-Haaj owns Restore & Explore Camp, an outdoor adventure program for youth ages 11–15 that focuses on confidence, teamwork, and resilience.
