Shane Capps
Shane is a proud Charlotte native and UNC alumnus. Before falling into teaching, Shane was a US Peace Corps Volunteer in Guinea, West Africa leading public health education projects for his village of Timbi Tounni.
After spending 9 years in the classroom, Shane ventured into coaching and training teachers on Lab's challenge-based learning program: Quest. He embraces the idea of using the community as a classroom and expanding learning beyond the proverbial four walls.
In his time away from the classroom, he enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, painting, and visiting all the US National Parks!
