Kayla Wilmer
Kayla is a Charlotte native who received her bachelors degree in English, with a minor in philosophy, from Johnson C. Smith University in 2015. She obtained her graduate teaching certificate from UNCC in 2018 and was awarded First Year Teacher of the Year 2016-2017 while at teaching at Ransom IB Middle School, for outstanding engagement and interaction with students.
Kayla loves music, has played the clarinet for over 12 years, and was in the marching band at JCSU. She loves cats and dogs, playing video games, reading manga, and watching anime in her free time.
