I am originally from Stratford Connecticut but have been living in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for the last 9 years. My fiance and I recently moved to Charlotte and are enjoying the change of scenery. I graduated with both my Bachelor's in Special Education and my Masters in Severe Disabilities from Coastal Carolina University. For the last 7 summers I have worked at a special needs camp for children with moderate-severe disabilities and worked as the assistant director during the summer of 2021. In Myrtle Beach, I taught early childhood special education for 5 years and just this last school year was awarded Teacher of the Year at my school (2021-2022 school year).
In my free time I enjoy cooking, going to the gym, and traveling with friends and family. I love to participate in physical activities like adult kickball and 5K's. I have volunteered as a Girls on the Run coach and I love to help young girls feel empowered and confident while being active. I am so excited to start this new journey and be a part of the Lab family!
