Celeste King
Teacher Assistant - EC (LS)

Celeste King is a local musician and third-generation Charlottean. Celeste graduated in 2009 from UNC Charlotte with a double major in Latin American Studies and History, and with a minor in music. She then earned a certificate from Central Piedmont Community College in teaching English as a Second language in 2011.
In addition to her position as an assistant teacher at Charlotte Lab School, Celeste works a few days per month at the Schiele Museum of Natural History. She also writes and teaches music several evenings a week. Celeste is inspired by the beauty of the natural world and she uses her music as a form of environmental advocacy. She enjoys sharing nature and music with children to help broaden their worldview, inspire creativity, and to grow an appreciation for the wildlife around them.
