Today, we wrapped up an inspiring and productive week of professional development with teachers and staff. We are so excited to continue our work over the summer to make year four our best yet! Please review the important information about upcoming events, deadlines, and activities below. Throughout the summer, we will be in touch periodically to share information about the upcoming year. We hope that you and your family have a wonderful summer break!

SUMMER READING CHALLENGE
If you haven't already, please review the Summer Reading List and #LabSummerChallenge. This Lab tradition aims to encourage students to continue to nurture their joy of learning, designing, exploring, and creating all summer long. Aside from reading the 1-2 required books, which will be used to support advisory activities early in the year, there are no grades or due dates for this challenge. We're excited for this chance to see what our kids can do and how they can inspire us and each other! Post photos and videos on FB/Instagram/Twitter with #LabSummerChallenge.
END OF YEAR CELEBRATION THANK YOUS
Wow! All of our end of year celebrations ran so smoothly this year and were so much fun for students and staff. A big thank you goes to the PTSO for arranging and paying for all of the non-field events at the Lower School this year including the magician, bouncies, tattoos, kona ice, crafts and more! Thanks to the Estrada-Colin family for their donation of the bounce houses. Our PTSO Committee Chairs, Akua Carraway and Sue Hawes, led the charge and without them these events wouldn't have been possible - Thank you! Thanks also to Mary Ashley Robinson and her team of 4th and 5th grade helpers for organizing the field games at the Lower School and to Leslie Mueller and Renee Alsop for all of their work in making the Middle School Lab Olympics a huge success. Finally, thanks to all of the parents (and friends of Lab) who volunteered as helpers during the day.
