Jake Margolis
Science Teacher (Upper School)

Jake Margolis is a passionate education leader with experience as a science teacher, department chair, consultant, developer, curriculum designer, and researcher. He has taught AP Physics, AP Environmental Science, Chemistry, Astronomy, and General Science.
In addition to his time in the classroom, he has worked with LabXchange to develop a scientific literacy module, with ICL Academy to create science curricula, and with the Learning, Innovation, and Technology lab as a real-time bio-feedback researcher. He continues to work as a consultant for other educational and training organizations and is currently collaborating with NLET to create an astronomy OER repository. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s in Education and recently received his Ed.M from Harvard’s Graduate School of Education. His studies focused on personalization, neuroscience, educational technology, and outreach in education.
Jake is driven by his commitment to spreading curiosity, creating a literate populace, and improving educational ecosystems for learners and staff
