Michelle Hunt, CFRE
Director of Development

Michelle Hunt serves as the Director of Development at Charlotte Lab School. Prior to this role, she served as the Assistant Director of Development and then Interim Director of Development & Alumni Relations at Johnson & Wales University. Michelle’s entire career has been in the non-profit sector, serving more than 15 years in Executive Director, Fundraising and Development and Volunteer Services roles at organizations including the former Charlotte Bobcats (NBA), Martin Truex Jr. Foundation (NASCAR), Ronald McDonald House, Special Olympics, United Way and Johnson & Wales University.
Michelle is a native of New York but moved south to attended North Carolina State University as a Biology/Pre-Veterinary major until her junior year. She then transferred (yet make no mistake, she is still a Wolfpack at heart) to Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology as a Pre-Medicine major. She also received her Master’s degree from VCU in Sports Management/Administration. She holds her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credentials.
Michelle and her husband, Jeremiah, are the parents of two children and currently reside in Huntersville. In her spare time, Michelle loves riding horses and playing golf.
