Mitch Carraway
Director of Technology

Mitchell Carraway is a native North Carolinian, born in the eastern part of the state. He had worked for six years in the Chapel Hill City and Durham Public School systems. During that time, he taught kindergarten through third grades and served on committees both at the school and district levels.
He developed a love for technology while assisting co-workers as they implemented various forms of instructional technology in their classrooms. This fostered his desire to seek a Masters of Educational Technology Degree from North Carolina Central University where he previously received his undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. In addition to his love for technology, he is a strong believer in the constructivist view of learning and also has a passion for providing professional development in the area of equity and diversity.
He and his wife Akua have two sons, Mitchell II and Parker.
