K-4 Updates

Back to School Night is next week (Thursday 9/28) Please read about the event and find curriculum guides HERE.

 
Kindergarten: If you have a student in Kindergarten, please pack a change of clothing in your child’s backpack in case of spills or accidents!
 
Lost and Found: items will be kept for one week and then will be sent to a donation site. Please label all of your students belongings and clothing items.

Early Dismissals (updated 9/18): Early dismissal ends at 2:30 PM.

Please email the advisor and homeroom teacher to let them know of the early pick up.

Please do not call the front office to announce your student’s early departure; 

students who have early dismissal will not be called until a parent/guardian arrives in the front office to check them out.

Art Class: Please see information for Artsonia, a tool that allows parents and families to view your student's artwork online! Please complete the permission form to participate.
 
Chess:

if students are in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grade they will receive chess training in their classrooms. If students are in Kindergarten or middle school they will not receive chess training in school this year but they are able to join the after school chess program.


After School Chess

The Charlotte Chess Center provides extra training afterschool  on Mondays to K-4th and 5th-8th. The after school program time is from 3:45-4:45. Full information for the after school chess program is AVAILABLE HERE!

Charlotte Lab Chess Team

The Charlotte Lab chess team are players that travel to tournaments and represent the school in events. Students Do Not have to be in the after school chess program in order to be a part of the team or to play in tournaments. A list of upcoming tournaments will be in the Charlotte Lab newsletter whenever they are approaching.
