5-8 Updates

Technology: Chromebooks have been distributed this week. As exciting as technology can be, we encourage families to discuss technology expectations with your student to ensure appropriate use at school.

Schoology: On Friday afternoon, you will receive an email that contains your Parent Access Code and instructions for logging in to Schoology. Please contact your student’s advisor if you have any questions OR if you do not receive an email.

Back to School Night is next week! For all students grades 5-8, we encourage you to follow your student’s schedule to check out the awesome things they are learning in each class. Feel free to email your student’s teachers if you have any class or student-specific questions.
 
Winter Sports registration is now Open. Learn more HERE.
 
Spring Musical (Grades 6-12): It’s time to start gearing up for auditions for the Spring Musical!  This year, our musical will be You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. Learn more HERE.
 
Lost and Found: items will be kept for one week and then will be sent to a donation site. Please label all of your students belongings and clothing items.

 

Early Dismissals (updated 9/18): Early dismissal ends at 2:30 PM. Please email the advisor, homeroom teacher, and for older students, their last block teacher, to let them know of the early pick up.

Please do not call the front office to announce your student’s early departure; 

students who have early dismissal will not be called until a parent/guardian arrives in the front office to check them out.

 

MS Sports-

Please be sure you have paid your student-athlete’s participation fee for this season.  Payment links were emailed to team members on Wednesday, 9/12.

Middle School Chess Club –

Charlotte Chess Center will be hosting an on-site afternoon club for students this year. More information with registration is AVAILABLE HERE!

Charlotte Lab Chess Team: The Charlotte Lab chess team are players who attend Lab and travel to tournaments and represent the school in events. Students Do Not have to be in the after school chess program in order to be a part of the team or to play in tournaments. A list of upcoming tournaments will be in the Charlotte Lab newsletter whenever they are approaching.
