Thank you to everyone who was able to come out to our event in the park on April 2. We had great attendance and responses from the community. We were also able to reach several key user groups of the park.
In lieu of a follow up meeting to debrief the group, we are providing a detailed summary of the last engagement and next steps.
Attached is a summary of what we heard at the April 2 event. We are still gathering feedback online and encourage you all to help share the survey with your friends and neighbors (www.publicinput.com/bryantpark). The online survey will remain open until the end of the month. We will take the information we gathered in-person and online into the next phase of design.
During the next phase of design, we will refine the master plan concept into technical construction documents. We anticipate this phase will take 12-18 months. Through this process, we will get a clearer understanding of the costs and how the master plan aligns with the budget for the project.
Our plan is to keep this stakeholder group and the website updated with key milestones but understanding that there won’t be public engagement touchpoints for most of the next phase. We will, however, be collaborating with Arts and Science Council to host public engagement sessions about public art in the park.
Please don’t hesitate to inquire about our progress if you feel you haven’t heard from me in a while. Additionally, if you would like an in-person update on this or other Park and Recreation projects at an upcoming neighborhood meeting, let me know and we will make it happen.
As always, thank you for participating in this process. We are super excited to see the project progress and look forward to seeing you all again in the future.
Regards,
