We hope you’re enjoying summer! The Charlotte Lab PTSO has been busy preparing an exciting year ahead. Here’s everything you need to know:
🎒 School Supply Kits Available until 7/20!
We know it’s a quick turnaround… but we’ve got great news! We were able to partner with a new school supply vendor (EPI) just in time to offer Lab families an easy, affordable way to get back-to-school ready. Order today and your student’s supplies will be delivered straight to the classroom.

There are lists for individual students, additionally we encourage families to purchase the classroom kit for your child's grade level, which will be used as a shared resource to set the classroom up for success this school year!
🚨 Purchasing an EPI Kit is not a requirement for your Lab student. As busy parents ourselves, the PTSO is offering this service as a one-stop shop for your school supply purchasing this year. This is not a fundraiser, just an optional service.
💚 PTSO Membership—Join Today! ($10 per family)
This year, we are bringing back an important part of PTSO success. The membership fee. Membership fees are one of the largest fundraisers for the PTSO. The funds raised directly support staff appreciation events, classroom resources, student enrichment activities, and community-building events like dances, festivals, and more.
We encourage all families and students to participate and volunteer with the school and PTSO events. The benefits of becoming a member include; having a voice in the PTSO’s decisions (only paying members will be able to vote in meetings), get previews of upcoming events/projects, ability to lead planning of events through committees, connect with other parents, share your ideas, and help the school get up and running smoothly!
The membership fee is not in place to prevent participation but instead to further encourage it. We want everyone to have the opportunity to be informed, involved, and invested in our vibrant Lab community!

This year, we have several exciting planning committees open. Our biggest focus right now is the Fall Festival + Trunk or Treat—a major community event for our Lab families! Connect with fellow K–4 Lab families at our summer playdate! It’s a great way to meet friends, ask questions, and build community before school starts.
