Welcome to a brand new school year at Charlotte Lab School! We hope your summer was filled with fun and relaxation, and from all of us in the PTSO, we’re excited to welcome all new and returning families back to Lab for the 2025-2026 school year. As we gear up for another exciting year of learning and growth, we’re thrilled to reconnect with all of you and share some important updates and opportunities.
What is the PTSO and how do I get involved?
As a PTSO, we work to benefit all Charlotte Lab staff and students. Our goal is to unite parents, teachers, and volunteers to enrich the educational experience of all children at Charlotte Lab.
Want to get involved? Anyone can join the PTSO! Parents, guardians, grandparents, aunts, uncles, staff and support members, and community volunteers all come together to form the PTSO and we have MANY ways you can support. Get Involved with POINT!
Have you signed up for POINT? POINT is our volunteer platform designed to make it easy for you to stay connected and contribute to our school community. It is a free online tool/app that we use to organize events and keep track of volunteers. Approval is required to sign up for events, so click the button below to submit your request and we will approve as soon as possible.

We have a variety of events and activities planned, and we’re always in need of enthusiastic volunteers. This year we are also recruiting for event planning committees. If you have already signed up for a committee, THANK YOU! You will be hearing from the PTSO in the coming week. If you haven't but would like to, you can do so here!

Be Part of Charlotte Lab’s First Fall Festival!
We’re excited to welcome local businesses, makers, and community partners to join us as vendors for our very first Fall Festival on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Charlotte Lab School (2045 Suttle Ave, Charlotte, NC).
This family-friendly event will feature games, music, food, decorated trunks during our Trunk or Treat, and festive fun for all ages. We’d love for YOU to be part of it! If you offer unique products, crafts, food, or services, this is the perfect opportunity to connect with our school community and showcase what you do.

Help Us Celebrate Local Teachers – AC System Giveaway!
We’re excited to share a special opportunity, made even more meaningful because it comes from a Lab family business. Acosta Heating, Cooling & Electrical (owned by a Lab family), along with Lennox and K104.7 FM, have teamed up to give away a brand-new AC system—with Lennox donating the equipment and Acosta donating all time and labor for installation.
