Alicia DeGusto

Alicia DeGusto is originally from Massachusetts and moved to North Carolina a year and a half ago with her daughter and younger son. Her oldest son still resides in Massachusetts. Alicia holds a Master’s degree in Education and brings over 30 years of experience in the field. During her time in Massachusetts, she served as a Director of Schools, providing leadership and support to educators across multiple grade levels. Since relocating to North Carolina, she recently completed a rewarding year teaching first grade at a charter school.

Alicia is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that help children grow both academically and socially. She believes in fostering a classroom environment that is engaging, joyful, and filled with opportunities for creativity, curiosity, and connection.

Outside of the classroom, Alicia enjoys spending time with her three children and her two beloved dogs. In her free time, she loves going for walks, being outdoors, and making special memories with her family.

She is excited to partner with Lab families and is looking forward to a fantastic year in second grade!
