Deborah Birosik
Hello. My name is Deborah Birosik and I’m beyond excited to be the Middle and High School Art Teacher at Charlotte Lab School. This will be my 25th year as an art teacher. My passion is helping and watching students experience art making and discover the joy that comes with creating their own, unique pieces of art. My inspiration for becoming an art teacher was my elementary art teacher, who sparked my interest and nurtured my creativity in the visual arts.
I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA (go Steelers) and my twin sister still lives there. My husband was an officer in the Army so we moved around quite a bit for 8 years. We decided that the Carolinas was our dream spot to settle when he got out of the military. We now live in Rock Hill, SC with our adorable labradoodle, Maggie. I love to travel, create artwork, hike, shop, and find new restaurants to try.
