Michaela Boeche

Michaela was born and raised on the West Coast, primarily in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and is proud to now call Charlotte home. She holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is a Licensed Professional School Counselor and a Certified Career Development Facilitator.

Before joining Charlotte Lab, Michaela spent over 17 years working in both public schools and educational organizations, including Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, Union County Public Schools, and FuturePrep Educational Services. She has extensive experience in school counseling, postsecondary planning, and social-emotional learning. Her work has centered around helping students navigate their academic paths, personal growth, and life after high school.

Michaela specializes in college and career readiness, executive functioning, and supporting students through transitions. She is passionate about creating inclusive and student-centered spaces where all learners feel empowered and supported.

Outside of school, Michaela is a proud mom to her son and a devoted dog mom to her dapple dachshund named Dexter. In her spare time, she enjoys family adventures back home in the PNW or in the mountains of NC, long walks with her pup, and relaxing at home.
