Amy Cook
Amy Cook was born and raised in northern Virginia. She is joining Charlotte Lab with over 25 years of experience in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools where she worked with students and families from PreK to 12th grade. She strived to provide equal academic access for Section 504 students, counseling services, and classroom lessons. Ms. Cook has conducted weekly group counseling sessions many years with children who have experienced the loss of a loved one through KinderMourn.
Ms. Cook earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Social Work as well as her Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Radford University in Virginia. She is also a National Board Certified Teacher in School Counseling. Outside of school, Ms. Cook enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 dogs.
