Athletics at Lab

This year, our Middle and Upper School students participated in a variety of sports, including Volleyball, Soccer, Cheerleading, and Basketball. This spring, we will continue our program with Flag Football and Track and Field teams. Last fall, Lab’s Middle School soccer team took home the Piedmont Athletics Conference championship, and Lab Cheerleaders are heading to their championship tournament next weekend, where we are hopeful that they will retain the 1st place conference championship that they claimed in 2025. Lab’s basketball had a foundational season that was both enriching and encouraging. While the Lions didn’t have the best record for wins, one Upper School teacher, Ms. Brown, reported that “basketball players have gained confidence on and off the court, preparing them for a great season next winter.”

Lab’s athletic programming is focused on the Middle and Upper grades (6th-12th); however, Lab students in younger grades also have the opportunity for athletic enrichment, including an onsite soccer clinic and most recently, a popular cheer clinic for 1st-5th grade students launched this winter. We can’t wait to see how these young athletes perform in upcoming showcases and sports seasons. If you’re interested in learning more about Lab athletics, we encourage you to visit our campus for an Open House tour or attend an athletics event in the upcoming Spring Sports season! Go Lab Lions!
