Ed Martinez was born and raised in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico and has lived in Charlotte, NC since 2008. He is currently a Relationship Manager at Wells Fargo. In this role, he is tasked with building deeper relationships with commercial RE developers across the Greater Charlotte region, to grow the bank’s loan and deposit balances. In his 20+ years in commercial lending, he has financed a wide range of projects: from a small family-owned restaurant to high-rise office buildings that define a major city skyline. Prior to joining Wells Fargo in 2021, Ed held various commercial lending roles with US Bank, Bank of America and Scotiabank.
Active in his community, Ed served on the Board of Hospitality House of Charlotte (2014-2019) where he chaired the Finance Committee for 3 years and is active member of the Latin American Chamber of Commerce of Charlotte. In 2019, Ed was named to the Corporate Advisory Board of the Charlotte chapter of ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals For America), and will focus his strategic planning efforts on finance-related education programming / collaboration with local colleges and universities.
